Helichoppy is a sidescrolling shooter game, where you play as a helicopter tasked with destroying an army of tiny flying saucers. The game was originally worked on from August 8, 2007 until September 6, 2007, and the most complete version got as far as having 3 levels and a basic multiplayer mode. This version was briefly revived on February 9, 2008, but went back on hiatus by the end of February 10, 2008. However, no work was done on a major Helichoppy game until it went back under production on June 20, 2011, at which time the game began being remade from scratch. The current version in production is 1.1.
Story[]
An army of tiny UFOs is attacking the city! We need our best combat helicopter pilot to go up there and fight back! So get on that, because that's you!
Controls[]
- Arrow keys - Menu navigation and helicopter control.
- Helicopter control can optionally be set to the WASD keys instead.
- Enter - Menu selection.
- Space - Fire lasers.
